Description

Chipotle Orange baked tofu for the air fryer from Julie & Kittee's free vegan and gluten-free book.

Chipotle-Orange baked tofu.

Julie & Kittee’s Super Yummy Baked Tofu for the Air Fryer!

Tofu gets an undeserved bad rap for being a high fat food, but we think it’s got great macros and is a fabulous source of plant protein. A 14oz block of firm tofu contains approximately 405 calories, 22.5 grams fat, and 45 g of protein. If you slice the block into 9-10 slices (like the recipes in this book) it averages to 45 calories,  2.5 g of fat and 5g of protein per slice!

Our baked tofu recipes contain whole foods, are refined sugar-free, and all but three contain no added oil. Besides an air fryer, the only special equipment you need for these recipes is a deep, square container for marinating the tofu.

The baked tofu recipes included in this volume: Lemon Herb, Hibiscus-Ginger-Beet, Smoky, Maple BBQ, Lemongrass, Chipotle-Orange, Chimichurri, Chicken-Style, Peanut Butter, Sesame, and Nooch-y. We also include info on using tempeh intead of tofu and oven baking.

Thanks for your support!

F.A.Q.

Q: Do You have to have an air fryer to make these recipes?
A: Yes and no. The recipes were designed for the air fryer, but we offer directions for oven baking as well, although the results aren’t exactly the same.

Q: Do the recipes contain refined-sugar?
A: Nope. The recipes which have sweeteners are made with maple syrup or agave nectar.

Q: Can I used something besides tofu?
A: We tested one of the flavors with tempeh, and it came out great!

I received your E-Book today and have already made three scrumptious versions of your baked tofu – Smoky, Maple BBQ, and Chicken-style. The flavors POP and all were a huge hit with my hubby who thought he’d NEVER love tofu! I can’t wait to get more tofu so I can try the rest of your recipes. Oh, and I’m new to Air Frying and your instructions were very easy to follow. Also included are directions for baking for those who don’t have an air fryer, which is nice.

Accessible ingredients, easy-to-follow instructions, quick and easy recipes, and….most importantly….AMAZING results! I think these recipes could convert the most diehard tofu-hater out there. Tofu doesn’t have to be bland–these recipes are stone-cold proof!

I made the Peanut Butter Tofu for dinner a couple of nights ago and while you have to leave yourself enough time to prepare it I have to say it was well worth the effort in the end. YUM!! We had some immedietly with dinner (tofu and vegetables over shirataki noodles) and I kept some aside to try the next day. Both were delicious but the next day pieces were definitely an even better texture. I will definitely try some of the other recipes and highly recommend the Peanut Butter Tofu.
